Yes, I know this is out of order and I'm missing one in the sequence. I need a bit more time for relevant linking on that one, but not to worry. I caught it; it's coming.
I've kind of missed Alan's mother as a character, so it was nice to see her featured here if only in a tiny cameo. Yes, this means I would like future posts to involve Mrs. Sheketovits. Perhaps she and Ellen should run into each other and discuss his new squeeze, or she even makes a phone call to her favorite among her son's exes? TIA.
A response, perhaps, to my remark about Willem calling Ellen's work phone rather than cell. What's going on? I suspect financially-motivated hijinks on the part of this graying businessman. Either that, or he's actually interested in Lynn.
Thank's to commenters who called this to my attention a few days ago. It is indeed late and therefore OUT of order. The tuchus explosion could mean putting on inche's or, unfortunately, diarrhea. Not that I need more info either way.
My issue with this post is the suggestion that Ellen has been with MANAGEING & Manageing LLP for "less than 5 year's." She's been identifying herself as a fifth-year associate since 2011-12. I say this is either the professional equivalent of shaving a few years off of your age, perhaps to avoid embarrassment over not being any closer to partnership than before, OR MP has deleted a year or two from Ellen's associateship tenure and, God love her, she hasn't noticed. Either way, fooey! Somebody fish our her original offer letter and check the date on it. Please upload below.
Note that Willem must be calling Ellen's land line at work; apparently he either does not have her cell number or is trying to make it look like business.
Third alternative: it actually is business and he's at least ambivalent about Ellen. Speaking of Sam, where the hell is he?
So, the first Ellen comment on this post was pretty predictable (with info on the granularity of Dad's financial surveillance). But the second post here? See bottom? I think this is a new and unsuspecting Corporette who happened to choose the wrong handle. I think her comment may have appeared too late for any of the usual polite warnings.
For an outing with Roberta in which man-talk was forbidden, it sure sounds like they talked alot about men. In fact, as far as we know they discussed nothing else. Why, though, had Roberta never pitched this Philly son before? It seems like an obvious move from her perspective: establish a lifelong bond with your favorite chubby fangirl and, hopefully, lure the lad back to NYC to start producing grandbabies asap.
More background on Rosa. Perhaps she snagged Ed and got pregenent just before graduating.
As for David's lack of earning potential--I thought he was a businessman who is involved with the internet? Ellen herself said that was about as sure a bet as one can make. What changed?
